Specifications

Every line carries its status

We would rather show you a tag than a promise. Built means it runs on our engineering rig today. Production unit means it is designed into the unit now in build and has not yet passed its tests. Design target is a number we are designing to, not a result we have measured. Tags come off as the tests pass.

The system

What arrives, and how it grows.

ItemValueStatus
In the boxThe controller and dosing unit, one nutrient reservoir with its lid, and one tower of five segments. — expandable — add towers, choose segmentsBuilt
Tower segmentsTwo-, three- and four-pot segments; mix them on one tower. Segments lock 60° apart so plant sites stagger up the column.Built
Stack jointA three-lug bayonet at every joint — reservoir, lid, each segment. Drop on, quarter-turn, seated. — designed; first articles printingProduction unit
Net potsBayonet into the segment port: drop in, twist.Production unit
WateringRecirculating top-fed drip. Water is pumped to the top of the tower and falls back through the root zone to the reservoir; roots sit in air with a nutrient film, so no air stone is required.Built
ReservoirAbout 20 L, about 15 L working volume, Ø200 mm lid.Design target
MaterialsPETG tower and reservoir. Controller housing in ASA or PETG, matte black, UV clear coat. Stainless fill valve.Built
PlacementDesigned for outdoor and greenhouse use. — not yet field-provenDesign target

The instrument

What it measures and what it does about it.

ItemValueStatus
SensorspH and conductivity (EC) — industrial RS485 probes; water temperature; water level; air temperature and humidity.Built
DosingThree geared peristaltic pumps: Nutrient A, Nutrient B, pH Down. 40 mL/min, PharMed BPT tubing. — dosing logic runs on the bench rig todayProduction unit
Chemistry separationCalcium (A) and phosphate/sulfate (B) never share a bottle, pump, tube or entry point — the lid entries are 110 mm apart. A, settle, B, settle, then pH.Built
ControlSetpoint control for pH and EC with lockouts and settle windows; automatic refill on level; recirculation timer; AUTO and MANUAL modes.Built
InterlocksNutrients before acid. No dosing below a level floor. Hourly cap on nutrient volume and a hard cap on every shot. Refill limited by level and by run time. Readings are median-filtered and held for 30 s before any automatic dose.Built
Water top-upRO or tap inlet with a normally-closed stainless solenoid. Loses power, closes. — valve in handProduction unit
Recirculation pump24 V brushless, 410 GPH class.Production unit
Dose resolutionAbout 3 mL per 5 s shot; about 1 mL at the shortest shot. — flow measurement pendingDesign target
pH band5.5–6.5 by default; setpoints are yours to change.Built

The controller

ItemValueStatus
Display7" 1024 × 600 capacitive touchscreen. Live gauges, 6 h / 1 d / 1 w / 1 mo charts, setpoints, guided calibration, manual pump control. — the bench rig runs the same UI on a 5" panelProduction unit
AutonomyEverything runs on the unit. No hub, no subscription, no account needed to grow.Built
ConnectivityWi-Fi; over-the-air updates.Built
PowerOne external 24 V UL-listed supply. No mains voltage inside the enclosure. — bench rig is 12 VProduction unit
EnclosureOne wall-mounted housing, 240 mm wide, for controller, dosing and the ambient sensor. Continuous cord seal. — geometry not frozenProduction unit
IngressSealed to an IP65 design target. Connectors rated IP65/IP67 mated. — not yet spray-testedDesign target
ConnectorsIndustrial plug-in connectors: one family for power and loads, a keyed M12 family for probes. The two cannot be cross-mated.Production unit
Sensor refresh1 s on the display.Built

Where it stands

Every row above carries a tag. These are the tests that retire them.

ItemValueStatus
Bench rigThe control loop — sensing, dosing logic, refill, interlocks, the touchscreen UI — has run on the engineering rig since spring.Built
